The Christian Right Just Doesn’t Get It

By Pastor Chuck BaldwinDecember 7, 2007NewsWithViews.comThese are people I have known most of my life. They are my friends. I have spoken at their gatherings and rallies, participated in their discussions, and prayed with them. Of course, I’m talking about the fine men and women who can be categorized as the Christian Right. On the whole, we share the same values and principles. We are pro-life; we stand for marriage as God defined it; we believe in the right to keep and bear arms; we support capital punishment (albeit I will be the first to admit that there are many inequities in the application of capital punishment that desperately need to be rectified); we believe children should have the right to pray in school; we believe former Alabama Chief Justice Roy S. Moore Jr. had every right to post the Ten Commandments in the Rotunda of the Alabama Supreme Court building, and before that, a plaque of the Ten Commandments in his Circuit Court building in Gadsden; and we believe in limited government. In 1980 and 1984, I joined my friends in the Christian Right in helping Ronald Reagan achieve two landslide victories. In fact, as the Executive Director for the Florida Moral Majority, I helped my friend, the late Jerry Falwell, register more than 50,000 evangelical voters during those years. In 2000 and 2004, my wife and I could not in good conscience vote for G.W. Bush, so we cast an independent ballot those two elections. However, there is no question that, to a great extent, it was the Christian Right’s almost universal support for George W. Bush that gave him two terms in the White House. Unfortunately, it has been the Christian Right’s blind support for President Bush in particular and the Republican Party in general that has precipitated a glaring and perhaps fatal defect: the Christian Right cannot, or will not, honestly face the real danger confronting these United States. The reason for this blindness is due, in part, to political partisanship or personal aggrandizement. Regardless, the Christian Right is currently devoid of genuine sagacity. On the whole, they fail to understand the issues that are critical to our nation’s–and their own–survival. Republican candidates have learned how to “talk the language.” They know that Christians are basically compassionate and trusting people, and therefore prone to being gullible and easily manipulated. They know that Christians have short memories and are desperate to be accepted at the king’s table (largely a result of the church-growth movement and mega-church mentality). It is at this point that much blame should be cast at the feet of the leaders of the so-called Religious Right. They have proven themselves to be much more interested in enriching their “ministries” (and themselves in the process) than they are in standing uncompromisingly for the truth. The infatuation with power and success has made them weak and vulnerable. As a result, George W. Bush and Karl Rove have made mincemeat out of the Religious Right. They have shown everyone that once you win the support of the Christian Right with rhetoric, you can get by with just about anything. Christians are horrible at holding Republicans accountable. Hence, neocon Republicans such as Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, Mike Huckabee, and even Rudy Giuliani are all currently receiving fractured support from the Christian Right. However, you can mark this down: the Christian Right (with few exceptions) will eventually coalesce around whoever wins the Republican nomination–no matter who it is. You see, it’s all about political partisanship. Principles are only something we talk about during off-election years. Sadly, this is what the Christian Right just doesn’t get: ninety percent of the time, it doesn’t matter to a tinker’s dam whether a Republican or Democrat wins the White House. Both parties are mostly dominated and controlled by the same interests. Both major parties carry water for Big Money conglomerates. Both parties are heavily influenced by globalists and internationalists. Neither party has any loyalty to the U.S. Constitution or the principles of liberty. All the pro-life, pro-family, traditional-values, conservative talk is just that: talk. Republicans use conservative rhetoric the same way Democrats use liberal rhetoric. Neither party believes what they are telling their constituents. They merely say what constituents want to hear in order to get elected; after which, they set about to do what their elitist, globalist manipulators tell them to do. Accordingly, no matter which party wields power in Washington, D.C., nothing much changes. Oh, there might be a little variance here or there, but the overall agenda of the globalists is undeterred. And the Christian Right just doesn’t get it. They don’t see it. They have swallowed the partisan line all the way to the gullet. Let’s have a reality check here. The globalist-handlers running things in Washington, D.C., for the most part, could not care less about abortion or gay marriage, one way or the other. They will gladly give their support to “pro-life” and “pro-family” candidates as quickly as they will to “pro-choice” or “pro-gay marriage” candidates. As long as the candidate will offer no resistance to their plans for global government, they could not care less about his or her position on social issues. And, once again, the Christian Right just doesn’t get it. Somewhere down the line, the Christian Right has lost track of the importance of constitutional government. They have forgotten (or never learned) the principles of liberty. Sadly, the Christian Right has allowed The Bill of Rights to become an antiquated and incidental document with no importance whatsoever to them. Beyond that, in many respects, the Christian Right has become as totalitarian in philosophy as many of the Pagan Left. One should understand that the extremes of both left and right end up at the same place: tyranny. Take a conservative rightwinger to the extreme and one ends up with Adolf Hitler. Take a liberal leftwinger to the extreme and one ends up with Joseph Stalin. So, which is worse? It is hardly worth arguing about. Tyranny is tyranny regardless of the label of the one exercising it. So what if the Democrats hate the Republicans and the Republicans hate the Democrats (the Nazis hated the Bolsheviks and vice versa). If both parties are dismantling constitutional government and stealing personal liberties, they are equally dangerous. And that is exactly where we are today. On the whole, Republicans are just as dangerous as Democrats. In fact, more constitutional freedoms have been lost under George W. Bush than any President (including Democrats) in modern memory. (See: And remember, this report is five years old.) Have you wondered why Mike Huckabee is suddenly getting so much favorable attention from the mainstream media (who themselves are controlled by this gaggle of global elite)? To find the answer as to why a professing pro-life, conservative Christian would suddenly become the darling of the media, look no further than the fact that just a couple of months ago, Mr. Huckabee appeared before the globalist-minded Council on Foreign Relations. (Read his speech here) And when he did, it became abundantly clear that Huckabee was a man globalists could trust. By the way, as you read Huckabee’s speech, you will find that he is George W. Bush on steroids! This is a man who intends to meddle in the affairs of nations around the world like you can’t believe. Talk about entangling alliances: Huckabee intends for our State, Energy, Housing, Education, Justice, Treasury, and Transportation departments to spend untold billions of tax dollars on just about anything and everything, including schools, medical facilities, roads, sewage treatment, water filtration, electricity, and legal and banking systems in countries all over the globe. And that is exactly the kind of man the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) wants in Washington. Make no mistake about it: the CFR has dominated every administration, Republican and Democrat, since World War II. They hold sway over most every critical Presidential appointment. Look carefully and one will discover that the Republican President George W. Bush has had as many CFR members in his administration as Democrat President Bill Clinton did in his. The last time I counted, President Bush had nearly 200 members of the CFR in his administration. Remember that the total number of CFR members is less than 5,000. Can one imagine what people would think if, say, the old Christian Coalition, which at one time numbered in the hundreds of thousands, had nearly 200 members in any one administration? Talk about conjectures of a conspiracy: the media would go ballistic. Yet, each and every administration, regardless of party, continues to fill their ranks with members of the CFR, and with those friendly with the CFR, and no one seems to notice. Do you now understand why nothing changes no matter which party wins the White House? Now consider the current presidential candidates who are also members of the CFR. These include Christopher Dodd, Bill Richardson, John McCain, and Fred Thompson. Hillary is not a member of the CFR, but her husband, Bill, is. Plus, she has a plethora of advisors who are CFR members. And even though Mike Huckabee is not on this list (neither is George W. Bush), it is obvious that he will carry water for them in much the same way as the current President has done. Barack Obama has spoken at least once for the CFR. John Edwards has appeared before the CFR several times. Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney both wrote for the CFR and have numerous advisors who are CFR members, as do Edwards and Obama. This also explains why independent-minded candidates such as Ron Paul are forever cast in terms such as “fringe,” or “extremist,” or “nutty.” The same CFR elite that controls the Washington political establishment also controls the New York media and financial establishments. And they hate outsiders! Of course, outsiders are those who do not share the globalist, utopian, New World Order machinations of the CFR. Until the American people–and especially people within the Christian Right–begin to awaken to what is really going on, nothing will change. Absolutely nothing. As one person said, “The height of absurdity is to continue to vote for the same thing and expect a different result.” A vote for just about every major presidential candidate from either party is a vote for more of the same thing. Of the Presidential candidates in serious contention, Ron Paul, and Ron Paul alone, stands for change. Ron Paul, alone, would truly obey his oath to the Constitution and would work to restore freedom and liberty to the American people. Ron Paul, alone, would kick the globalist elite out of power in Washington, D.C., and restore this country to constitutional governance. But, once again, the Christian Right just doesn’t get it. So, they will continue to support establishment, CFR-backed, globalist candidates who will, in turn, continue to do the bidding of the international elite. One would think that Christians–more than anyone else–would understand the devilish nature of globalism. One would think that their study of the Sacred Text would lead them to resist any attempts at building modern-day Towers of Babel. One would think that Christians would love liberty enough to recognize its enemies. One would think that they would recognize that Washington, D.C., is a far greater threat to their freedom than either Baghdad or Tehran. But, alas, the Christian Right just doesn’t get it. That is the difference between the Christian Right today and the Christians of 1776. They understood that “when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a DESIGN [emphasis added] to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future Security.” (Declaration of Independence) When the Christian Right finally awakens to the “Design” behind the “long train of abuses and usurpations,” they will then be able to “throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future Security.” But, alas, these people I love and am pleased to call friends, the good people of the Christian Right: they just don’t get it. © 2007 Chuck Baldwin – All Rights Reserved

Many Christians put their faith into Televangelists and follow them almost to the point of worship. Is this wise? What does the Bible say about how to tell who someone is serving? Did Christ warn about Satan’s disciples infiltrating the Church in order to fool believers? In this blog we will examine the Biblical evidence and look at some examples in the Mainstream Christian Media to see how these Televangelists measure up to the Word of God.

First let’s look at the Scripture. During his Sermon on the Mount, Christ warned about false prophets infiltrating the Church. He gave us what I call, “The Test of the Fruits”, to gauge whether a “Christian” is serving God or Satan. Before we look at the Scriptural evidence, let’s examine the situation that Satan is in.  We know from his temptation of Christ (Matthew Chapter 4) that Satan is familiar with God’s word.  In light of him knowing the scripture and how the story ends, so to speak, his best weapon against God is to trip up as many Christians as he can before Christ’s return.

Read 2 Corinthians 11:13-15. The Scripture here is very clear. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.  See how we are warned that Satan’s servants will specifically try and trick Christians into following false doctrines?

Now let’s examine Christ’s words from the Sermon on the Mount. Read Matthew 7:15-20. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. See again in verse 15 how these disciples of Satan will “come to you in sheep’s clothing”? Just like Satan did to Eve in the garden and to Christ during his attempts to tempt Him, Satan and his servants use just enough scripture to make you think that they are telling the truth. And what does the Bible say about those who follow these false prophets, lying preachers and disciples of Satan? In Matthew 7:21-23, Christ gives this warning. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. You see, there are no mysteries here or verses too vague to be interpreted wrongly. These are clear cut Scriptural warnings that can only be interpreted in the obvious context that they are used in. The New Testament is full of these warnings for anyone who cares enough to take the time to read them. In Matthew 12:33-35, Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.  O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.  A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. Now let’s look at the fruit that is exhibited by those who serve God through Christ. In Galations 5:22-23, we read, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Remember that God is Love and those who serve Christ bear loving fruits. Read 1 Corinthians 13 for the description of this. Now let’s look at two of the top Televangelists on TBN and examine their fruits based upon two of their most controversial teachings.Pat Robertson has come out in support of China’s one-child policy that uses forced abortions to keep the one-child per family rule. In China, sons are favored since they are the ones that carry on the family name and are the preferred heirs in that society. Here is an excerpt from Tom Hilditch’s story sub-titled A holocaust for little girls, taken from, on 12/29/07.[From the South China Morning Post (Hong Kong), repr. in World Press Review, September 1995, p. 39Mei-ming has lain this way for 10 days now: tied up in urine-soaked blankets, scabs of dried mucus growing across her eyes, her face shrinking to a skull, malnutrition slowly shrivelling her two-year old body. The orphanage staff call her room the “dying room”, and they have abandoned here for the very same reasons her parents abandoned her shortly after she was born. She is a girl. When Mei-ming dies four days later, it will be of sheer neglect. Afterward, the orphanage will deny she ever existed. She will be just another invisible victim of the collision between China’s one-child policy and its traditional preference for male heirs. She is one of perhaps 15 million female babies who have disappeared from China’s demographics since the one-child-per-family policy was introduced in 1979.]

Now here is Pat Robertson’s position, “I don’t agree with it,” Robertson said. “But … they’ve got 1.2 billion people, and they don’t know what to do. If every family over there was allowed to have three or four children, the population would be completely unsustainable…. They’re doing what they have to do.” [Taken from an article written by Jeff Jacoby for Capitalism Magazine.]

Now notice how Pat Robertson starts by saying that he “doesn’t agree with it”, yet his statement that they are “doing what they have to do”, is a vote of support for what happens to these poor girls in China. Also his statement is much like Pontius Pilate saying that he washes his hands of the responsibility for Christ’s murder!

Now let’s look at another false prophet, John Hagee, who claims in his latest book that Christ did not come to be the Messiah. In his book, In Defense of Israel, John Hagee says that Moses was the Messiah and that Christ never claimed to be the Messiah. In my previous blog, you can read his heresies and I plan on writing more about him in the future because anyone who attacks Christ while claiming to be a “Christian” deserves to be rejected as a disciple of Satan!!

On page 133 of his book, Hagee claims that “Jesus had to live to be the Messiah.” He also says that the Jews did not reject Christ as the Messiah because Christ never claimed to be the Messiah. In John chapter 4:25-26, in the ‘woman at the well’ story, Christ did say that He was the Messiah. The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias (Messiah) cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

This is just one place in the New Testament where Christ admits or claims to be the Messiah yet Hagee swears that Christ never said He was the Messiah! Even above, where he says that Jesus “had to live to be the Messiah”, this is proof that Hagee does not believe that Christ is the Messiah. His book says that Moses was the Messiah. Hagee contends that unless Jesus said, “I am the Messiah” in those exact words, then He must not have been the Messiah.

What is really unbelievable is that Christians would rather follow these false prophets than read the Bible and ask God for guidance towards understanding the truth. It’s as if a veil of mind-numbing fog has affected their brains! This should come as no surprise because in 2 Thessalonians (verses 9-12) we read the following,   Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

So you see, for those who truly serve God, read the Scripture, and pray for wisdom and guidance, this is all easy to see because it is a no brainer! But for those caught up in worshipping Satan (even though they call it “church”), this will be totally missed. On Judgement day they will be among those who Christ tells, “I do not know you.”

I pray that God open’s your eyes to the truth. Use the test of the Fruits that Christ gave us to discern between true Christians and phony ones.

Peace in Christ Jesus!

Hagee Heresy

Due to the seriousness of this topic, arising out of the release of Pastor John Hagge’s book, In Defense of Israel, I have decided to write this blog sooner than the others stated in my Blog Topic list, which was outlined in my first blog.

I suppose that this blog can quite appropriately fit into the “End Times Warning & False Teachers Infiltrating Mainstream Christianity” topic heading, which I will expand upon in future blogs.

I view this claim by John Hagee that, “Christ did not come to be the Messiah”, as a major indication that Mainstream Christianity has been successfully infiltrated by those in the employ of Satan. These wolves in sheep’s clothing have been placed throughout the Church leadership and TBN has been instrumental in putting forth leaders who’s fruits are very questionable to say the least.

Pastor Hagee’s book is riddled with falsehoods, misrepresentations of Biblical Scriptures, and outright lies! We will examine many here. Let us start with his claim that Christ did not come to be the Messiah.

Let us first look at What the word “Messiah” means.

Messias= Greek from Hebrew or Messias, “Christ” Christos meaning anointed, the Messiah, an epithet of Jesus (From Webster-New Collegiate Dictionary 1973=) Epithet: 1. A characterizing word or phrase accompanying or occurring in place of a person or thing.

Pastor Hagee says on page 136 that Moses was the Messiah of the Jews. He defines “Messiah” on page 137 as “God’s anointed leader”. Messiah is translated and equated in True Christianity as meaning, “Savior”(Hebrew), “Son of God”, “Christ”, and “Anointed One”. Yet Hagee claims that Moses was the Messiah!

He goes on to say in paragraph 5, page 137, that, “If God intended Jesus to be the Messiah of Israel, why didn’t he authorize Jesus to use supernatural signs to prove he was God’s Messiah, just as Moses had done?” Now, I ask, how can a seasoned preacher not know that the New Testament is full of stories about Christ performing miracles? To deny this and for True Christians to not question this claim is beyond all reason!!

Now Pastor Hagee likes to group things together in a broad brush stroke much reminiscent to Satan’s temptation methods used on Eve and during the temptation of Christ. Here is just one example. He claims on page 137 that when the “Jews” asked Jesus for a supernatural sign that “he was indeed the Messiah”, He refused and said that they would only get the sign of Jonah. This pastor Hagee claims is proof that Christ did not come to be the Messiah. YET, the scripture says in Matthew 12:39-40, quoted by Hagee that it was the Scribes and Pharisees that asked for a sign-not the people or Jews as a people. Of course these leaders were Jews but it is clear that Jesus was responding directly to the Scribes and Pharisees in this instance. Therefore, here again Hagee twists this into Christ not showing ANY supernatural signs to the Jewish people! As if all the other signs-even those in the same chapter (see verses 9-13), were NOT supernatural signs!

I suppose Pastor Hagee is used to an audience that has been dumbed-down and that doesn’t read the Bible for themselves. Because his book fails on so many counts that it would take ME a book to refute it all. Of course MY book would be full of evidence and scripture, quoted in context! The whole first few chapters of his book makes claims without any documented proof of his claims. Personally, I would look at anything that he writes with suspicion considering his claim that Christ is not the Messiah.

In his book, Hagee makes many over-generalizations. One of the main ideas of his book centers on the claim that Christians dislike Jewish people.  This might be a good time to bring up the whole “anti-Semitism” topic. There has long been a selective use of this term used as a one-sided charge, leveled against anyone who dares to critically examine the Zionist State of Israel or its policies, in ANY way.

It is a very effective subterfuge tool because, the use of this word is often calculated to invoke a high level of emotions and employed to stymie a rational stream of thought. Of course, the implication of the word is that anyone accused of it must also have agreed with Hitler’s evil campaign against the Jews (and many other non-Jews, often downplayed by those pointing the finger!), and therefore everything that they say must be inherently evil and wrong!

If we were to apply this loose and selective use of the word, “anti-Semitism” to the Old Testament, we would have to say that God, Himself, would be classified as an anti-Semite! After all didn’t He condemn, punish, and even exile Israel?

Now that we’ve brought the whole idea of Hagee’s claim that ‘Christians dislike Jews’, into the light of day, let’s look further at this major argument of his book. Let me just say outright that I do not dislike Jewish people, nor any other people for that matter. Hagee selects random events in history and claims that Christians supported these events and therefore they are all guilty of these crimes. In his chapter, entitled, “Sins of the Fathers”, he traces anti-Semitism back to, “the early days of the Christian church” (Page 17). He then goes on to admit that the label, “Christian Anti-Semite” is an oxymoron, in other words, two words that can’t logically go together. That doesn’t keep him from devoting two whole chapters of his book trying to label Christians as being anti-Semitic.

To get right to my point, I’ve yet to see this “major” problem of “Christian anti-Semitism” in my 45 years as a Christian. As a child, I was brought up to go to church every Sunday and have gone to many different types of Christian churches. Although, I’m sure that there are people who claim to be “Christian” that fall into this classification, a far bigger problem to be concerned with in mainstream Christianity is the problem of False Teachers infiltrating the church. The worst example can be seen in the Televangelist ilk.

Remember, in Matthew 7:20-24, where Christ warned about being fooled by false prophets? Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Here, Christ makes it quite clear that false prophets WILL infiltrate the church and therefore he gave us “The test of the fruits” as a way to discern these instruments of Satan from true followers of Christ! How could a true Christian deny Christ by saying that Christ did not come to be the Messiah? Another poignant part of the above scripture is seen in verses 21-23, whereas, people who believe and have pretended to be Christians are seen by Christ as not qualifying to “enter into the kingdom of heaven”.

Christians need to heed these words because Christ was careful to warn us about people of this type infiltrating and leading astray believers. These words of Christ need no interpretation-on the contrary-they are quite clear. Yet so many ignore the “Test of the Fruits” tool given to us by Jesus just for this purpose or are already too blinded by this disease of preacher worship to see the obvious!

[In my next blog, I will look more into the falsehoods contained in Hagee’s book, In Defense of Israel.]

In today’s mainstream churches, there is an orchestrated push to get Christians to Obey, support and to not even critisize their respective governments and political leaders. There are many churches that selectively quote scripture to back this up but in doing so they ignore much Biblical evidence to the contrary.

One day I overheard a segment of a Southern California AM radio show where the host blasphemously claims to be Jesus Christ. On this show, the host-NOT J.C!!-used the common arguement about submitting to authority and that God establishes governments. Of course this encouragement to bow to worldy governments always includes the story in Matthew 22:21, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s… Of course the most importantpart of that verse is what comes next, and unto God the things that are God’s.

The common mistake that I have noticed when examining the errors in today’s mainstream “Christian” churches is the tendency to build an entire pillar upon one (or as above-part of one) Bible verse, while ignoring whole chapters that suggest the contrary!

Take for example the story about Daniel in the Lion’s den or the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego being put into the fiery furnace. These two stories alone stand in direct opposition to bowing to government over obedience to God. These are no verse fragments nor a mere sentence taken out of context that the whole obedience to World Government arguments commonly use.

In these days leading into the tribulation, we must heed the many Bible verses that warn about Christians being fooled by leaders-religious and governmental! There is a tendency in the Christian church today to ignore these many and blatant warnings-many by Christ Himself-about how the church will support the government that will bring about the antichrist.

Now is the time to pay attention to what is being established around us! We are fast approaching the point with our dollar being devalued, where it may take a day’s wage to buy a loaf of bread. Gold is fast approaching $1000 dollars an ounce and soon gas will be $5.00 a gallon! Yet the church still is asleep!

And worse than being asleep, they are supporting the establishment of this system that will become the seat of the antichrist! Not only are our religious leaders failing to tell us to stockpile food and water so we won’t have to accept the Mark of the Beast, they are being employed as an agent for this system to teach us to go along with it all.

HR1955 has passed the House of Representatives and is awaiting passage in the Senate. This bill is known as the “thought crime” bill. It is being pitched as targeting American Terrorists but can easily be used against Christians because it is written in such a vague manner that anything can be called terrorism. Even criticizing abortion, under this bill can be called terrorism! Under this bill, they can justify taking our Bibles away, so I suggest that you begin reading about these many warnings about these end times while you still can!

Time and time again in the Pentecostal-type churches and on websites that I have read, I see the claim that “Speaking in Tongues” is required as the ONLY proof that one has been successfully baptized in the Holy Ghost (also referred to as “The Holy Spirit”). We will examine the Bible scriptures that relate to this topic in an attempt to find the truth in this matter.

In Luke chapter 11, Christ is teaching His Disciples how to pray. After teaching them what is commonly referred to as “The Lord’s Prayer”, Christ says, ” And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” A few verses later (13), he goes on to say, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” Here one can see clearly that any that ask God to be filled with the Holy Spirit, WILL receive the Holy Spirit Baptism.

In Acts chapter 1 Christ appears to the apostles Let’s review starting with verse 4: And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. (5) For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. In verse 8 Christ then says, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

In Chapter 2 the account of the apostles Baptism in the Holy Spirit is recorded. In Acts 2:4, we read, ” And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Notice how it says that they were filled with the Holy Ghost AND began to speak with OTHER tongues. Two things need to be pointed out here. There were filled with the Holy Ghost and were given the gift of being able to speak other tongues. Remember in Acts 1:8, where Christ said after the Holy Ghost is come upon you…ye shall be witnesses?See 2:4-8.  In verse five it talks about Jews “out of every nation under heaven”. In verse six it says that these men “were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.”  Verse 7&8, ” And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galileans? (8) And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

Christ had told them that they would be witnesses both in Jerusalem and Judea. The Miracle was that these men-many of them uneducated as can be seen in earlier accounts of fishermen, etc being chosen by Christ-suddenly could speak other known languages that they shouldn’t have been able to by their own abilities! The need was there that one of the gifts of the Spirit-that of speaking in tongues-was needed to achieve the spreading of the Gospel to those who were nearby at the time. This ability was also a miracle to prove that God was working in these men and would strengthen their testimony to the otherwise unbelieving Jews!

The Bible says that there is ONE body but many parts-all with differing gifts of the Spirit. Many Pentecostal and “Spirit Filled” churches make the claim that “Speaking in Tongues” is a required proof of being Spirit-filled. Is the Bible Lying or are they? Read the scriptures and YOU decide!

In 1 Corinthians 12:30, after the lengthy discussion of one body different parts (gifts), Paul writes, “Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?” The answer is an obvious “NO” for anyone who has read the preceding chapter. If all speak in tongues then all must heal, all must interpret! How can Paul’s words be true in one part and lies in the other?

Those who say that Tongues are REQUIRED as the ONLY proof of being Spirit-Filled (aka Baptism of the Holy Spirit) are calling Christ a liar and Paul a liar.

Paul even says in 1 Cor. 14:22, “Wherefore tongues are a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not; but prophesying serveth not them that believeth not, but for them which believe.” He also warns in 1 Cor. 14:8, “But if there be no interpreter, Let him keep silence in the Church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.”

1 Cor.12:20, “But now there are many members, yet one body.” How many True Christians has this erroneous teaching turned away from the body because they refused to fake a gift that they were not given? How many souls have YOU damned to hell because you joined in on this lie without searching out the Word (Bible) for the truth in prayer, through Christ?

No wonder the Mainstream Church is mostly dead and useless to Christ in this end times! No wonder there is no revival that should be rampant in these days leading into Tribulation that we are now going into! That is why in Matthew 25, Christ describes dividing the sheep and the goats (v.31-46). He calls the goats “righteous”(v.37) but then sends them into (41) everlasting fire!

Don’t ignore this warning any longer! Come out of her my people! Your house has been left to you desolate! If you can’t find a church that is not part of those, who in these end times have been fooled into serving Satan through corrupt teaching, then start your own church that is truly Bible-based.

May God give you ears that hear and eyes that see the truth!

This being my first Blog on this site, I want to say outright that this Blog is for truth-seekers. Times are too serious now as we are in the beginning stages of tribulation, leading up to Christ’s return for me to “soft sell” the warnings about these times that are CLEARLY LAID OUT IN THE BIBLE! The problem that I see in mainstream “christianity” is that these very clear and blatant warnings from Christ and his disciples/apostles are either not being actively taught in the “church” or are being distorted by False Teachers. Christ warned (Matthew 24:11), “And many false prophets shall rise and deceive many.”

The thing you have to realize when Christ talks about being fooled, he is not talking about those who are unsaved. Nonbelievers are already by definition fooled . This is why they don’t believe nor follow Christ’s teachings. Christ was trying to warn his followers because He knew what would happen to the church in the years before His Second Coming. A proof of this can be found in his description about dividing the sheep from the goats. In Matthew 25:31-46, specifically verse 37, notice how Christ refers to the goats as “righteous”. This is because there are people who consider themselves “christian” who have failed to do what Christ describes in these verses (42-45). These are those back-biting, judgemental Sunday-only christians that better match Christ’s description of the Pharisees (white-washed tombs-see Matthew 23: 27)  than the description of those who have been filled of the Holy Spirit. (see 1 Corinthians 12 for a description of the Gifts of the Spirit.)

In this and following Blogs, I will explore the Bible verses and erroneous teachings of Mainstream christianity in more detail. I will try to keep to one main theme for each Blog but often, if relevant to the topic, I will get into other issues that may tie in.

Some of my planned topics will be:

1. Is Speaking in “tongues” required proof of the  Baptism with the Holy Spirit?

2. The “Test of the Fruits” or how to know TRUE Christians-aka sheep versus goats

3. Give unto Caesar and the lies about supporting worldly government

4. End Times warnings and False teachers infiltrating Mainstream Christianity.

5. Can you be “pro-life” and Pro-war?

6. Pretending to be Christian to trick Christians into voting for you!

…And much more as God leads me and world situations dictate.

If you wish to comment, I will screen your comments and post those that are intelligent, Scripture-based and those not obviously tainted by evil or foul language. I am open to considering alternative points of view but if you are just regurgitating un-rersearched dogma already widely available on Mainstream “christian” websites, you can bet they will not be included in my Blog pages!

Love to all and may God grant you eyes that truly see and ears that truly hear!
